Krókr is a hand-forged iron wall coat rack shaped as an organic composition of branches and leaves. Practical hooks emerge naturally from the flowing ironwork, creating a sculptural place for coats, bags and scarves.

Design language
A welcoming detail, inspired by nature.
Krókr takes its name from the Old Norse word for hook. Its purpose is simple, yet its form reflects the distinctive craftsmanship and organic character of the Grein collection.
A continuous iron branch extends along the wall, its flowing lines accompanied by individually shaped leaves and smaller offshoots. Rather than appearing as separate fittings, the hooks form part of the branching composition itself, bringing practical function and sculptural expression together.
Designed for an entrance hall, hallway or another carefully chosen space, Krókr offers a place for everyday belongings while remaining a decorative feature in its own right.
The design can be seen in shorter and longer compositions, each sharing the same natural character. The final dimensions and number of hooks are discussed when commissioning the piece, allowing the arrangement to be considered in relation to its intended setting.
Even when nothing hangs from its hooks, Krókr remains a distinctive work of hand-forged iron — a branch of nature brought indoors.
Craftsmanship
Krókr is created as a continuous wall-mounted composition, with the hooks integrated into the flowing lines of the forged iron branches rather than added as separate decorative elements.
Its construction balances practical use with an organic silhouette. The direction of each branch, the spacing of the hooks and the placement of the leaves all contribute to the overall expression.
Each leaf is shaped by hand, with textured surfaces and individual details that reflect the work of the hammer. The transitions between branches, leaves and hooks are considered as part of the same sculptural composition.
The photographs show shorter and longer examples of Krókr. The final length, number of hooks and arrangement are clarified during the commissioning process rather than presented as fixed standard configurations.
As each piece is individually hand-forged, subtle variations in the branches, leaves and overall form contribute to its unique character.
